marast demoparty

The Marast demoparty was held in the Czech Republic (2004 and 2005). In that times it was the one and only demoparty in the Czech Republic and it was the only party of it's kind in our country, same for Slovakia. Marast demoparty was organized by Marshals members and our friends who participated to the party success. Both volumes were organized without any sponsors and donators, despite this fact we managed to keep balanced budget. We would like to thank all people who came and helped us to meet our wishes.

As every single person, party like this has to face outer influences. We noticed positive reactions connected with demands for next Marast. But Czech scene has changed. Creative people left the scene as well as no newbies entered the scene and Marast didn't help to this anyhow. Next thing is low number of contributions. We decided NOT to organize next Marast. We didn't plan to organize a party of foreign latitude as it was this year. We wanted to make a party for local sceners with few foreign visitors. We were glad that they have come but we realize that the party area isn't really suitable for a big party like that.

We are happy we could organize Marast. It met it's sense and it was funny and inspirative. We think that some of new voting ideas would be worth of further development. If you'd like to make your own party we'd like to share our experiences with you.
